Is the free plan actually free?
Yes — free forever, no card required. You get the whole core loop: unlimited tasks, follow-ups, meeting notes, and a daily log, plus up to 5 active topics and 2 direct reports, with your full history searchable for as long as you keep your account. Pro lifts the caps and adds a few power features; it never locks away your memory.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Nothing is ever deleted. If a subscription lapses you simply become a free user again: the Pro features switch off and you're back to the free limits, but every note, meeting, follow-up, and log entry stays exactly where it is, still searchable. Re-subscribe and everything unlocks instantly — nothing to restore, because nothing was lost.
Manager or individual — which do I need?
Both are included at every price. Helm works as a manager's cockpit (with direct reports and their 1:1s) or a personal one (your own work and your 1:1 with your manager), and you can switch anytime. On Free the caps are small — 5 active topics for everyone, plus 2 direct reports in manager mode — and Pro lifts both.
What's the difference between yearly and lifetime?
Yearly ($42) is a subscription you can cancel anytime. Lifetime ($100) is a single payment — you own Pro forever, with no renewals to think about. It pays for itself against yearly in a little over two years, so it's the pick if Helm's become part of your routine.
